Like many successful companies, Scotch Naturals started off with a mom on a mission.
When Ginny Cardenas‘ daughters began to attend “girlie-girl” parties and slathering kids’ cosmetics on their faces, she grew concerned about the cheap, glittery crap that ended up, well, everywhere.
She figured she wouldn’t put the kid stuff on her own body, so why should she let them?

After a long road of research, Cardenas, who lives in Phoenix, was astonished to discover there were zero non-toxic, eco-friendly nail products available for children.

So in late 2009, she established Hopscotch Kids — a line of kid-friendly nail polishes in bright, bubbly colors and spill-safe bottles.

The response to her water-based polishes were so positive, she began to develop more fashion-forward colors and bottles under the brand Scotch Naturals.

The Scotch line comes in 13 colors ranging from clear “On The Rocks” to dark “Black Tartan.” Each polish is available online for $14.99.

While all of this sounds fine and dandy, just be aware that this polish will hold up better on “healthy” nails. Scotch’s website says the polish may streak or chip on unhealthy nails, but with use, the polish will improve nail quality and thus, prolong the life of your manicure.
