Where to eat after Valley spring training games

The Cactus League spring training season is in full swing, rewarding baseball fans after a long off-season with a much-welcome reason to soak up America’s Pastime amid the idyllic climate that is quintessentially Arizona. 

Valley restaurants and bars are also getting in on the action. Many are offering winning deals and specials that feel like a steal throughout the five-week season.

Have your digital ticket handy, as most require proof of game attendance, either on that day or on any day. However, a few don’t. With spring training deals spanning freebies, discounts and exclusive menu items, feel like a winner at these Phoenix restaurants.

Macayo’s Mexican Food

Get a free appetizer with any menu item purchase when you show your same-day spring training ticket at Macayo’s Mexican Food. Use it to score housemade guacamole, green corn tamale bites or the famous cheese crisp. 

Picazzo’s

Miracle Mile Deli

You don’t need a ticket to enjoy Miracle Mile Deli’s Spring Training special. The central Phoenix eatery is offering a Hebrew National Hot Dog, fries and a drink for $8. For just $1 more, add toppings like chili, coleslaw or sauerkraut. The special is available to all through March 14. 

Pizzeria Virtu 
6952 E. Main St., Scottsdale
Pizzeria Virtu will debut its “Pizza al Portafoglio,” one of Naples’ most iconic street foods for $14 to ring in Spring Training. This “wallet pizza” is a smaller margherita pizza that’s folded into quarters and wrapped for easy, handheld eating. No ticket is needed, but this is only available for to-go orders, ideal for the walk to Scottsdale Stadium. 

Mastro’s

Through March 31, all Mastro’s locations invite you to raise a glass to Spring Training season with a new signature big league cocktail, The 7th Inning Stretch. This vibrant libation is made with American Harvest Vodka, Combier Pêche de Vigne, fresh mint, Monin Golden Turmeric, lemon and Fever-Tree Ginger Beer, and finished with candied ginger and a mint sprig for $18. No ticket required.
