Former Phoenix Suns player (and current New York Knicks superstar) Amar’e Stoudemire was reportedly a big fan of the Scottsdale’s Old Town scene and the many swanky and stylish clubs populating the district.
So it’s not much of a shocker that Amar’e is apparently planning a return trip to his old after-dark stomping grounds when he visits the Valley on Friday to lead the Knicks to victory over his former team.
If you’re hoping to spy Big Stat in action, Stetson Drive hot spot Revolver Lounge is hosting an event entitled “Amar’e Stoudemire’s ‘I’m Coming Home’ Party” tomorrow night. While the wingding is being pimped big time on sites such as AZ Nightlife, it remains to be seen whether or not the former hometown hero actually shows up (which is pretty much the case with any ballyhooed appearance by a celebrity at a local nightclub).
Although other details about the affair are scant, drink specials will apparently be offered and a DJ is likely to perform. Hit-up this link to get inside the club for free before 11 p.m.
