Right now, things are still nice outside as far as the weather goes. But if you’ve lived in the Valley for any stretch of time, however, you’re probably well aware by now that its not gonna last much longer.
Like it or not, we’re on the cusp of warmer temperatures and the inevitable beginnings of summertime. And with it will come the start of the pool parties at spots in Scottsdale and elsewhere in the Valley. As such, Scottsdale-based club event promoter Steve LeVine Entertainment is already gearing up for the season of bikinis and beats.

The parties will be held every weekend through September starting on Sunday, March 22. As with any outdoor party or swimming soiree at Maya, the Soundwave events will feature live art, go-go dancers, tons of pool toys (including inflatable champagne bottles) and big beats from big-time guest DJs.
SLE has been putting on Soundwave events since April 2001, back when it was a series of dance music massives held inside the empty wave pool at Tempe’s Big Surf Waterpark. It later became more of a block party in 2013 and took place along Indian Plaza in Scottsdale.
Just like with its previous incarnations, the Soundwave series will star a number of world-renowned talents from the realm of house music, including many Beatport and SoundCloud favorites and those who have previously paid a visit to Maya’s DJ booths.
The schedule for the first wave of parties are as follows:
Sunday, March 22 Sander van Doorn (electro, big room house)
Sunday, March 29 Bingo Players (electro, progressive house)
Saturday, April 4 Cazzette (electro-house)
Sunday, April 12 Blasterjaxx (Dutch house)
Saturday, April 19 Porter Robinson (electronica)
Each of the parties for the Soundwave series start at noon. Tickets are on sale now and range in price from $15 to $40. VIP service is also available for those who want to make a big splash.
