Looking for something to spice up an otherwise boring Monday? The folks down at The Rogue Bar in Scottsdale will be throwing a special shindig both today and tonight that will raise money for one of their own and feature an impressive array of local musical talent.

The raucous rockers of The Pübes, Thankful Birds, Banana Gun, The Jitters and other bands are scheduled to perform at the benefit (as will DJ William Fucking Reed), which will be broadcast live on KWSS and will benefit Gina David, a bartending fave at The Rogue.

David, who probably weighs all of 95 pounds soaking wet, was grabbing some late-night eats at Rivas Mexican Food in Tempe in the eraly morning hours of February 15 when she was assaulted by another customer. The 28-year-old suffered a skull fracture and spent a few days in the intensive care unit at Maricopa Medical Center as a result.

David’s nearest and dearest are banding together to help pay for her medical bills with the event, which kicks off at 3 p.m. and will also offer a barbecue, raffles, and giveaways. A $6 donation is suggested. Call 480-947-3580 for more info.
