When The Ting Tings announced months ago that they were coming to the Valley, the concert was originally supposed to take place at the Clubhouse Music Venue in Tempe.
Then the tragic shooting outside the establishment prior to a Nipsey Hussle show went down on March 2, which caused the show to be moved to the Marquee Theatre.
And now, after all that drama, it turns out that tonight’s concert won’t be happening at all. The British indie rock duo of Katie White and Jules de Martino, famous for their sugary sweet pop and that infamous iPod commercial from a few years back that gave them an even bigger fanbase, have nixed tonight’s performance at the Marquee.
An unspecified illness suffered by either White or de Martino is the cause of the cancellation, according to an email sent out by local promoter Luckyman Concerts. Refunds are available at point of purchase or via the Marquee Theatre box office.
