The Glendale Police Department is actively searching for the person responsible for shooting a man in front of his house last night.

About 8 p.m. yesterday, 9-1-1 dispatchers received several calls reporting gunshots were fired near 53rd Avenue and Greenway Road.

As officers were arriving on the scene, dispatchers received another call from a woman saying her husband had been shot in front of their home.

Officers found the wounded man lying on the ground in front of his house. He was taken to a Valley trauma center with life threatening injuries.

Police have no suspects in the case, but are still in the early stages of the investigation.
