NASA satellite photos released today show just how much of Arizona’s precious forests are being lost to fire.

Remarkably, for fires this big, there have been no reported deaths or injuries. We saw something about burn injuries while Web-surfing for fire news, but that story was about a worker at a Chandler Intel plant.

Inciweb, the federal government’s fire information site, says nothing on its Horseshoe Two page about anyone getting hurt, and the Wallow Fire page states as of its 9 p.m. update that no injuries have been reported to date.

Yet the wildfire is still zero percent contained. About 2,500 people are working to put out the Wallow Fire alone. Full evacuation was ordered this evening for Eagar and Springerville.
