Attention Valley residents: Stop driving around shitfaced with your kids in the car.
For the second time this morning, we’ve been hit with a story about a person driving drunk with a child in the car. The latest: 34-year-old Carla Flanagan.
Flanagan was arrested Saturday after drunkenly crashing her car near 45th Street and Baseline Road. Her 8-year-old son was in the car.
But Flanagan didn’t just get drunk and crash her car with her kid inside — after the wreck, police say she fled the scene of the accident, leaving her son behind.

Cops caught up with Flanagan shortly after she left her son in the car she just crashed. She was found hiding in the stairwell of a nearby apartment complex.
Thankfully, the injuries the child sustained when his drunk mom crashed the car were not serious.
Flanagan’s been charged with aggravated DUI, aggravated DUI with a passenger under 15, failure to stay at the scene, and endangerment.
