The Glendale Police Department wants the public’s help in tracking down the person they say either threw or pushed a 16-year-old girl from a car Wednesday night.
The girl, Anita Munoz, a sophomore at Independence High School in Glendale, was thrown from a car about 7 p.m. Wednesday near 6700 West Ocotillo Road.
Munoz, family members told police, was taking her laptop computer to the office at her apartment complex to use the Internet.
According to her family, Munoz was applying for jobs so she could help her mother with bills. The family suspects whoever threw her from the car may have been trying to steal her computer, and she fought back.
