BoomBozz Taphouse, the Louisville, Kentucky-based restaurant of gourmet pizzas, calzones, sandwiches, and salads — and whose handcrafted pizza, The Pollotate, was named one of the nation’s fifty best pizzas by Food Network Magazine — is now open at 1026 East Gilbert Road, near the entrance of Gilbert Town Square.
BoomBozz (Italian slang for wild, crazy, and fun) was established in 1998 by chef and owner Tony Palombino. Gilbert is Palombino’s first western region location. There are four other restaurants in Kentucky.
The menu includes several award-winning specialty pizzas like the Pollotate made with marinated chicken, hearty baked sandwiches and calzones, fresh salads, and starters like Asiago Cheese Stix and potato nachos. To see the full menu, go here.
The Republic reports that BoomBozz also offers 23 types of craft beers, half of which are from local brewers, in addition to a full bar and locally brewed root beer.
