Attention, local concert commandos: Keep the third weekend of September open on your social calendar and set aside enough gas money to get you to and from Florence.
That’s because, per recent reports that have surfaced online, there’s supposedly gonna be some sort a “Coachella-like multigenre music festival” taking place at the Canyon Moon Ranch outside of the sleepy Central Arizona town that particular weekend.
A blog for Tucson’s Arizona Daily Star reported earlier this week that the ranch will host an outdoor concert called Liquid Sol from September 19 to September 21. The claim came via local country music performer Harry Luge, whose kin owns and runs the ranch, which hosts the annual Country Thunder mega-festival every April.

Harry Luge…said he can’t release any details because the festival organizers are still finalizing the lineup. But Liquid Sol will debut Sept. 19-21 on Canyon Moon Ranch’s sprawling festival grounds, which can accommodate camping for thousands.
A search of the Interwebz for anything related to Liquid Sol pulled up little to nothing regarding any potential outdoor mega-concert, save for this entry on the Arizona Corporation Commission’s website that stated that a limited liability company (LLC) devoted to a “Liquid Sol Music Festival” was formed last fall.
The parties involved with the LLC, and — we assume — the supposed musical festival include a Chandler company called King Jasper Media and some local gentlemen including Victor Wernett of San Tan Valley, Armando Viteri of Paradise Valley, and Eric Horner of Mesa.
Stay tuned to Up on the Sun for more news on the festival as it develops.
