There’s seriously nothing I enjoy more than an hour or two killed in a good record store, but you know, this new-fangled interwebs-thing is pretty good for finding music, too.
A couple weeks ago I read something interesting about a power pop artist named Carl Rusk (of The Nashville Ramblers, featured on the excellent Children of Nuggets box set).
Within two hours, I’d downloaded his masterpiece of a record (Blue Period), listened through, and even sent the man himself a message stating how much I loved it.
This week’s installment of Record Heat finds our hero Brad Dwyer enjoying a similar experience, jamming some punk rock from Sierra Vista, Arizona, and indulging in a little existentialism.
