If you were waiting to hear the members of Foreigner play “Waiting For A Girl Like You” unplugged, get ready for some disappointing news. The ’80s rock legends have canceled their upcoming “Acoustique” gig at Comerica Theatre.
Live Nation sent out an e-mail blast yesterday afternoon stating that Foreigner was pulling the plug on the January 15 concert, which was part of it current tour hyping last year’s Acoustique: The Classics Unplugged gimmick album (featuring hits like “Cold As Ice,” “Juke Box Hero,” and “Feels Like the First Time” played sans electric instruments).
Although no reason was specified, the band has reportedly also nixed upcoming shows in Denver, Chicago, and NYC. As with most cancellations, refunds for ticketholders are available at point of purchase.
