It was over a year ago that we speculated that Radiohead, and by extension Thom Yorke, must have vowed “to never step foot in The Grand Canyon State again.”
Well, if there was such a edict issued by the lads from Oxford, they’ve totally called it off. Radiohead has announced a March, 15, 2012 date at Jobing.com Arena.
This marks the first time Radiohead has played Arizona since July of 1995, when Radiohead fansite Green Plastic Radiohead‘s extensive gigography says they played two gigs, July 15 at The Nile Theater in Mesa, and at some place called the Library Cafe two days later.
That second date seems a bit iffy — but nonetheless, it’s been awhile.

I had kind of accepted that the band just wasn’t going to play anywhere in America beyond the coasts and big festivals, but the band’s tour itinerary finds them hitting Florida, Texas, Colorado, Missouri, and Georgia.
Tickets go on sale for W.A.S.T.E. insiders at 9 AM (EST) on November 9, and on to the general public on November 12 through Ticketmaster.
Now, let’s watch Thom dance. Dance for us, Thommy!
