Yet again, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office says detectives found someone on Craigslist ready and willing to have sex with a dog.

This time, it’s 47-year-old James Naylor, who was allegedly looking for some “hung tops” on the website, but said he was “willing to try [a] hung K9” too.

According to court documents obtained by New Times, this investigation has been going on since June 16, when Naylor posted the ad titled, “Bottom need hung tops — M4M — 40 (Mesa).”

In the bottom of the post, Naylor added, “Willing to try hung K9 4 fun too,” according to a probable-cause statement.

A detective from MCSO’s animal crimes unit started emailing back-and-forth with Naylor, which continued until yesterday, according to the documents.

Eventually, the detective “made arrangements to meet with Naylor at hotel for the purpose of Naylor having sex with a dog,” the documents state.

Naylor told the detective he’d be showing up to the Quality Inn & Suites hotel in Mesa wearing an Arizona State University t-shirt, and sure enough, MCSO says Naylor showed up in a yellow ASU wrestling tee.

After his arrest, Naylor admitted being the one who was corresponding with the detective via e-mail, but said “he was curious and that he was just there to watch,” according to the court documents.

The arresting detective notes in the court documents that “none of his emails mentioned just watching.”

When Naylor was confronted about the pair of condoms in his pocket, the detective writes that “he insisted that he had been carrying them with him for nearly a year because he had not had sex with his wife for approximately a year.”

Naylor faces one count of conspiracy to commit bestiality, and became the sixth person since February 2011 to be arrested by MCSO for trying to find a hot dog on Craigslist.

Craigslist can also expect a third angry letter from Sheriff Joe Arpaio, as he usually asks the company’s CEO to somehow prevent people who want to have sex with dogs from posting on the site.

“The Sheriff has made animal abuse one of his top priorities including the enforcement of humans having sex with dogs,” MCSO says in a press release.
