According to court documents previously obtained by New Times, Nehrenz was driving his white Toyota pickup truck near 19th Avenue and Bell Road on a Saturday afternoon in October 2011 when he hit the kid rollerblading across a crosswalk.

Nehrenz drove off, but witnesses followed him, and he didn’t make it too far before the cops caught up with him.

Nehrenz pleaded guilty to endangerment and misdemeanor DUI, and his jail sentence started today, according to a Maricopa County Superior Court spokeswoman.
