Three people have been arrested — two of them on murder charges — in the death of a Phoenix man whose body was found in December, just a couple miles from Phoenix International Raceway.

Hector Sanchez Duque, 43, had “no known ties” to the Tolleson farm near where he was found, face-down, with his hands and feet tied behind his back, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

Not much information has been released at this point, but MCSO says this appears to be a kidnapping/robbery case.

Jorge Amaya, 24, and Jazmine Romero, 19, were charged with first-degree murder in Duque’s death, and were already in custody on unrelated charges.

In addition to the murder charges, they also face charges of kidnapping, unlawful use of transportation, theft of a credit card, and nine counts each of fraudulent use of a credit card.

The third person arrested, 19-year-old Sarah Brady, was arrested on two counts of fraudulent use of a credit card, and one count of hindering prosecution involving a murder.

MCSO says Duque was stabbed to death, and detectives believed he was killed elsewhere, and his body was dumped out there near PIR.
