A college student working in a job-placement program at a Phoenix elementary school was arrested on child-porn charges.
Travis Kinkaid-Mata, 27, worked in the library at Phoenix’s Longview Elementary School, near 12th Street and Indian School Road, according to court documents obtained by New Times.
Court documents state police were tipped off that child-porn images were uploaded to the servers of a “well known social networking service.”
The images were of young boys performing various sex acts, including one image of an “infant child” engaged in a sex act, according to court documents.

Court documents state that Kinkaid’s e-mail address was used to register the account that uploaded the images.
Police say Kinkaid admitted sharing the images when they confronted him, and Kinkaid said he used his computer at home in Buckeye, as well as his cell phone, to view the images.
Osborn School District Superintendent released a statement saying Kinkaid was placed at the school in a federal work-study program through Anthem College.
“To our knowledge no Longview students were involved nor was any inappropriate material downloaded from any Osborn computer,” she says.
Kinkaid was booked into jail on ten felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. His bond was set at $25,000.
Phoenix police officer James Holmes says, “Search warrants for Kinkaid’s home, computer and cellular telephone were served and the investigation is continuing.”
