Maricopa County Supervisor Mary Rose Wilcox won’t face any criminal charges in the crappy case against her put together by Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio and former County Attorney Andrew Thomas.

Gila County Attorney Daisy Flores rejected the idea of charging Wilcox, one of five members of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, based on the facts presented by Arpaio’s office in a letter sent today to the Maricopa County Attorney’s office.

Wilcox had been accused of failing to disclose loans she’d received from a division of the Hispanic social service group Chicanos Por La Causa, and for an alleged conflict of interest for voting on funding related to the group.

We’ll have a more detailed write-up after we analyze the letter, but it appears Flores noticed that Wilcox didn’t get a better deal on those loans than anyone else would have. Read our more in-depth post today on Wilcox by clicking here.
