It’s been raining this week and, as a native Phoenician, I’m ready for it to be over. I can’t help it, I’m addicted to the sun.
So it’s no wonder I’m already thinking about Friday. It’s the first day this week that the forecast icon has that beloved cartoon sun showing.
But, after that baby goes down, I’m hitting Roosevelt St. for the Third Friday Art Walk. And, since I was in San Francisco on December’s First Friday (bad arty girl, bad!), I’ve got a full plate of things to see…more of which I will blog about on Friday.
When news happens, Phoenix New Times is there —
Your support strengthens our coverage.
We’re aiming to raise $30,000 by December 31, so we can continue covering what matters most to you. If New Times matters to you, please take action and contribute today, so when news happens, our reporters can be there.
But for now, I’ll tell you about Angela Franks Wells at Five15 Arts. I’m interested to see what she’s produced because unlike many contemporary photographers, Wells still uses the old-timey film photography to capture her shots of “earthy abstractions”.
And she even uses a dark room for processing…how nostalgic.
