I love blogging about this kind of thing, I really do. Because if I’m putting words to paper (or laptop screen), that means I’m nearing the end of my deadline – just as I’m writing about a deadline for others. I feel like I’m passing some sort of stress-torch and, boy, does it feel good to get rid of that thing.

Anyway, BRIO Fine Arts Center is announcing “Double Vision”, a call to Arizona photographers for submissions for a chance to be featured in an exhibition and sale, set to take place September 19 – October 2.

Okay, so, here’s the cool part: there are two categories: Digital Experimental Imaging and Traditional Photography. It’s open to all AZ photographers over 18 and the entry has to be an unpublished, original image. You’re allowed two entries max with an entry fee of just $25.

And here’s the really cool part: Peter Ensenberger, Director of Photography for Arizona Highways, is the juror.

$30,000

That’s definitely something to put on your resume. Assuming he thinks you’re good enough for the show, that is.

The drop off dates are Thursday and Friday, September 10 and 11, 2009. Brio Fine Arts Center will have a quick turn-around with the reception and award ceremony to take place on Saturday, September 19 from 6-8 p.m. The event is free, open to the public and will, of course, include refreshments.

Judgment and refreshments…tasty.
