It would seem Eddie Izzard has taken a page from the Miley Cyrus playbook. The stand-up comedian can’t stop and won’t stop touring.
The comedian, actor, and writer, known for his free-association delivery and roles on The Riches and Hannibal, announced this week that he’ll follow up his 32-city 2014 Force Majeure tour with a 25-stop stretch of stateside dates in 2015, including two nights in Phoenix.

Force Majeure translates to “superior force.” It’s a legal term for a clause that allows the suspension of contractual obligations due to do forces beyond control. And it seems quite the right title for the comedian’s intense schedule of international traveling and performing that began in March of 2013. Once/if ever the tour’s complete, Izzard will have visited a total of 25 countries on five continents. Because, far as we can tell, he runs things; things don’t, ahem, run he.
Izzard will perform at the Orpheum Theatre in Phoenix on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 2 and 3, before heading to California for a string of dates and after shows in both Tucson and Flagstaff.
