Collector Haven in Mesa might have moved to its newer, nicer, and bigger location a month ago, but that doesn’t mean they can’t have their Grand Re-Opening celebration whenever they damn well please.
This Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the comic and collectible shop is throwing a party to (finally) commemorate their new digs (at the same complex near Lindsey Road and Apache trail), and the entire nerd-dom of the greater Phoenix area is invited to join in.
Travis Birman, manager of Collector Haven, says there will be a meet-and-greet with local artists Jean Arrow, Andy Bohn, and April Grady-Reyna, and access to new gear not normally on the shelves.
“We decided that, instead of leaving our convention stock in a trailer and just have it ready for the next [comic-con], we’re actually going to bring in a lot of our convention stock,” says Birman.
Sounds like a pretty good excuse to nab one of those limited edition Beta Ray Bill bust to complete your cosmic Asgardian collection.
Collector Haven is located at 116 North Lindsey Road, Suite #1 in Mesa. The event is free and runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
