But September 29 carries extra incentive: A few of our own museums are celebrating Smithsonian’s Museum Day Live!, aimed to raise public awareness about the role museums play in our neighborhoods and communities – and to reel in a few visitors with discounts and special events.
On Saturday, September 29, museums around the country will offer free admission when visitors present a printed Museum Day Live! ticket, which can be found on the Smithsonian website. Each ticket is good for two people per household, per address.
