We’ll admit: We’re kind of nuts about maps, and ASU Art Museum in Tempe just came out with a really good one.

It’s a guide to Open For Business — the museum’s community-wide installation project — which kicks off tonight with a free opening reception from 7 to 9 p.m..

If performances by Peter Bugg and Ryan Peter Miller, Tania Katan and Pina Sbrocca, and Whitney Zama, Jessie Foster and Brody Thomas aren’t enough to make you jump in the car (ok, or on a bike) … look at that map!

More event details after the jump …

Open for Business will feature art works installed throughout downtown Tempe businesses and at the ASU Art Museum.

Sixteen artists (who we blogged about earlier) will feature their work; each piece will address the importance of each business. Together, these pieces will invite the public to interact with the businesses’ spaces along a guided map tour. Installations will be up until January 29, 2011

Free public lectures and conversations will also take place throughout the run of the exhibition. For more information, visit the ASU Art Museum website and the Open For Business Facebook page.
