After hosting monthly aerial arts workshops for about the past year, Scorpius Dance Theatre found a permanent location to offer regular aerial arts classes in the Valley. This Saturday, January 18, from noon to 4 p.m. they’ll unveil the new space during an open house event. Attendees will be able to tour the space, enjoy light refreshments, meet aerial trainer, Gavin Sisson, and watch demonstrations by the Scorpius aerial team.

The 3,000-square-foot space is inside Metro Arts Institute, which is already the resident rehearsal home of Scorpius Dance Theatre. The suite will also serve as Scorpius’ administrative offices and storage for costumes and props.
Classes will begin on Monday, January 20 and will cost between $20 and $30 a session, however discounts will be available at the open house and during the first two months of classes. At the open house those who register for six classes will get a seventh class free and throughout the months of January and February, a 10-class card will be $25 off.
