The traveling dining extravaganza FoodieLand returned to the Arizona State Fairgrounds last weekend for three days filled with eccentric eats.

During the festival, over 250 vendors set up in the parking lots surrounding the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum and invited ticketholders to eat their way around the world, all from central Phoenix.

This spring, the food-filled weekend lined up with a record-smashing heat wave, and temperatures topped 100 degrees each day. Despite the heat, dedicated foodies flocked to the fairgrounds to chow down on everything from fried alligator to rainbow-colored grilled cheeses. Here’s a look at the action.
