Phillies ace Roy Halladay made it look easy Wednesday night against the Arizona Diamondbacks as the Phils won 7-1.

Halladay threw a six-hit complete game, striking out nine D-Backs, yet throwing only 109 pitches. The only blemish on his evening was giving up an RBI double to Miguel Montero in the top of the ninth inning.

With the loss, the D-Backs have now dropped six in a row and are 23 games behind the National League West-leading San Diego Padres.

The D-Backs will close out their series in Philly tonight by starting the newest addition to the team, Joe Saunders, who came to Arizona from the Los Angeles Angels in the Dan Haren trade.   With the Angels, Saunders was 6-10 with a 4.62 earned-run average, and he struck out only 64 batters, while walking 45, in 120.2 innings.
