The Arizona Diamondbacks won their fifth game in a row Tuesday night at Chase Field, beating the Colorado Rockies 6-2 behind starting pitcher Joe Saunders’ seven-inning, nine-strikeout performance.

The D-backs moved over .500 and stayed within six games of the first-place San Francisco Giants in the National League West and are now four games out of a National League wild card spot.

Chris Young hit his 11th home run of the year and drove in two runs. He also stole his sixth base of the year. Young, who started hot before spending most of the first half on the disabled list now has a six-game hitting streak in which he’s gone 8-for-20 with two homers and seven RBI, with three steals.

The D-backs will go for the three-game sweep of the Rockies tonight when Trevor Cahill (8-8, 3.77 earned-run average) takes the mound against Jeff Francis (2-2, 5.24). First pitch is 6:40 p.m. TV: Fox Sports Arizona. Radio: KTAR 620 AM. More info: www.dbacks.com
