It may be hard to believe, but the gentleman to our right is a registered sex offender.
According to Arizona Department of Public Safety records, 46-year-old Mesa resident Paul Michael Brown has previously been convicted of indecent exposure and “aggravated incest.”
Court records show Brown pleaded guilty in 2009 to indecent exposure to a minor, and had another indecent exposure charge tossed out last year. He’s also been called to Phoenix Municipal Court eight times, for various minor charges.
DPS records show one of Brown’s convictions took place in Johnson County, Kansas — the location of Olathe and Overland Park.

Brown was booked into the 4th Avenue Jail yesterday for a charge of — you guessed it — indecent exposure. We should have some details on that incident some time this morning.
In the meantime, we can tell you Brown has a “boundary” around his Mesa residence, and according to DPS records, there are six daycare centers and one elementary school within his boundary.
