Here is your guide to today’s spring training games, as well as a look at some of yesterday’s games that most Valley baseball fans actually care about (sorry, Reds fans, there’s nothin’ here for you unless your boys happen to play against the Diamondbacks, the Dodgers, or the Cubs):

Arizona Diamondbacks: The D-backs thumped the Chicago White Sox 10-1 on Friday. Diamondbacks pitcher Edwin Jackson threw six scoreless innings, and Justin Upton hit a three-run homer in the win.

Chicago Cubs: The Cubbies lost to the Oakland Athletics 5-2 on Friday after the bullpen ruined a good performance by starting pitcher Carlos Zambrano. Zambrano threw six good innings in the loss, but Chicago’s relievers gave up three runs in the eighth to lose the game.

Los Angeles Dodgers: The Dodgers got banged up by the Kansas City Royals on Friday, losing 8-4. Dodgers starter Vincente Padilla went 4 1/3 innings, giving up eight hits and five runs in the loss.
