Here is your guide to today’s spring training games, as well as a look at some of yesterday’s games that most Valley baseball fans actually care about (sorry, Padres fans, there’s nothin’ here for you unless your boys happen to play against the Diamondbacks, the Dodgers, or the Cubs):
Arizona Diamondbacks: The D-backs eeked out a 4-3 win against the Kansas City Royals. Gerardo Parra hit a two-run homer in the seventh inning to give the Rattlers the lead, which they never lost.
Chicago Cubs: The Cubs beat the Colorado Rockies 2-1. Alfonso Soriano, coming of an injury, hit a two-run homer in the sixth to give the Cubs the lead and the win.
Los Angeles Dodgers: The Dodgers lost to the Cleveland Indians 6-3. The game was tied at three going into the eighth inning, but Grady Sizemore, who homered earlier in the game, had an RBI single to get a three-run scoring drive started for the Tribe — making it 6-3 — and the Dodgers couldn’t recover.
