In addition to the abilities to surf the Internet, take pictures, and play music, Apple’s iPad can also be used to assault police officers.
Police allege a 21-year-old Tempe woman used the police-assaulting feature of her iPad, and was booked into jail on a felony charge because of it.
According to court documents obtained by New Times, police were responding to a family-fight call at an apartment near Baseline Road and Kyrene Road.
As officers were heading up the stairs to the apartment, in full uniform, 21-year-old Lauren Crain allegedly chucked her iPad — with a connected keyboard — at a police sergeant, according to the documents.

Court documents give no indication as to why she did this.
The police sergeant was able to see the incoming iPad, and deflected it, or it would’ve hit him right in the head, according to the documents.
Still, Crain’s use of technology landed her in jail, as she was booked on a felony aggravated-assault charge.
