With that out of the way, here’s where police will be setting up “saturation patrols” around the Valley, looking for impaired drivers this weekend and early next week:

We’ll provide the (very lengthy) list of DUI patrols next week for July 4 and the ensuing weekend, so here are all the patrols in the Valley leading up to that:

  • From 7 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. today, Saturday, and again starting on Wednesday, the Salt River Police Department will be at Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community/Scottsdale border, around the Walmart at Pima Road and Chaparral Road.

    • On Wednesday, the Phoenix Police Department will have six different locations for its patrols, many of them based in QT convenience-store parking lots, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.

    • On Wednesday, the Gilbert Police Department will be near the Gilbert/Chandler border, with a patrol from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. southeast of the intersection of Gilbert Road and Williams Field Road.

    • Outside the Valley: Gila River Police will be having patrols in an undisclosed location in the Gila River Indian Community on Friday and Saturday, and police will be at the World’s Oldest Rodeo and Prescott Frontier Days in Prescott for the whole week, from Monday through next Sunday (July 7).
